Nottingham Contemporary
EXAMPLE OF A DRUPAL CONTENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (CMS) WEBSITE
At 3,000 square metres, Nottingham Contemporary is one of the largest contemporary art centres in the UK. It has four galleries – lit by 132 skylights – a performance and film Space, a Learning room, The Study, The Shop and Café.Bar.Contemporary. The building appears larger on the inside than outside, since much of its north end is sunk into the sandstone cliff that runs the length of the city centre. At the same time the building is unusually transparent: large windows offer direct views from the street into the galleries, shop, café and offices.
ADL Consulting were contracted to do the build of the website (designed by De-Facto, Notthingham). The site was built on the Drupal Content Management System (CMS), and includes numerous bespoke modifications of the standard system. We have delivered what we believe to be an exceptional website, with all the benefits of the CMS, and the strengths of Drupal’s build in Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) methods.
We were also responsible for arranging the hosting package for the website.
